To maintain the safety of ALL road users, JIO only permits authorized wrecking companies to tow vehicles along Highway 2000 East-West. In order to be approved to provide this service along the highway, it must be determined that the company will adhere to the correct safety procedures for attaching and transporting vehicles along the roadway. It must also be determined that the company has the suitable equipment to meet the demands for safely towing vehicles of various sizes, as well as the capacity to respond in the required time frame.

Given our keen attention to the safety of all our customers JIO, as the Operator of Highway 2000 East-West, does not permit unauthorized companies or individuals to tow vehicles along the roadway. Anyone found in breach of this can face the penalties outlined in Section 26 of the Toll Road Act for “failing, neglecting or refusing to obey an instruction or direction of a person authorized by the concessionaire.”

We therefore encourage all motorists to be considerate of others and abide by the measures which have been put in place with your safety and that of others in mind.
